Dr. Alfredo Nudman completed his residency training in Psychiatry at Payne Whitney Westchester Clinic of the Weill Cornell Medical College. There he received extensive training and experience in the diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric conditions.

During his formative years Dr. Nudman worked closely with two of the foremost leaders in modern psychiatry. He specialized in the treatment of severe Personality Disorders under the supervision of Dr. Otto Kernberg, and in the treatment of Eating Disorders under Dr. Katherine Halmi. Dr. Nudman has continued to develop his expertise in these areas both in inpatient and outpatient settings.
He has also been instrumental in developing and supervising treatment programs for these conditions in different countries, and continues to work closely with those multidisciplinary teams.

For the past several years Dr. Nudman has been a full time faculty at the Payne Whitney Clinic of Weill Cornell Medical College, acting as Unit Chief on the specialized Inpatient Program for Severe Personality Disorders and later on the main General Acute Inpatient Psychiatric unit at the Payne Whitney Clinic’s Manhattan Division. There Dr. Nudman was responsible for the development of novel treatment program for diverse conditions and populations and had an important role in the training of medical students and psychiatry residents at the Weill Cornell Medical College. In this capacity Dr. Nudman has been awarded the Faculty of the Year Award on several occasions by the Residents Council. Dr. Nudman remains actively involved teaching and program development as a faculty member of the Weill Cornell Medical College Department of Psychiatry.
Dr. Nudman is a long standing member of some of the most prestigious national and international professional organizations in his field.
